The Apple Car is a topic of widespread debate and discussion, and this news won’t help: Apple has registered the Apple.auto, Apple.car and Apple.cars domains. First spotted by Mac Rumors, Apple has registered the domains late last year, though none of them are active (which you probably knew because you checked before you even got this far down, didn’t you?). It’s obviously not clear what Apple is doing, here. As alluded to earlier, it may be domain squatting to prevent hoaxes, but there’s too much evidence Apple is working on something automotive to think that’s the only reason it snapped…
