Facebook may have started as a social media company with a single product, but these days, the Menlo Park-based firm is offering a wide variety of various apps fulfilling all kinds of purposes. A portion of these offerings have been spun off from the main Facebook app and include the likes of Facebook Pages Manager, Messenger, and Events. The company introduced Events on iOS devices a couple of months ago, and today, the said app will also be hitting the Google Play Store.
AS THE NAME SUGGEST, THE EVENTS APP WAS DESIGNED TO ASSIST USERS IN DISCOVERING NEARBY CONCERT
As the name suggests, the Events app was designed to assist users in discovering nearby concerts, festivals, promotions, and all other kinds of happenings. Not surprisingly, this mobile tool features full Facebook integration which means you’ll be able to mark happenings in your Facebook app and see them while browsing Events. You can discover new happenings based on time, location, and interests, as well as integrate events from most popular third-party calendars. Naturally, an active community dedicated to finding local events leads to a better user experience which consequently results in more potential ad revenue from event organizers.
