When asked about HBO series Game of Thrones, most cast members would go red-faced, appear all flustered and ultimately dodge the question. Not Sophie Turner.

GAME OF THRONES star Sophie Turner has inadvertently let slip a huge spoiler about her on screen alter-ego.

The 20-year-old actress, who plays Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy, revealed the fate of her character during a recent interview at the BAFTAs.

Speaking on the red carpet on Sunday evening, she said: “We’re about to start shooting the next X-Men.”

“We’ve just finished shooting Season seven of Thrones, and I’ve got a couple of movies to do before X-Men starts. And then we go on to Season eight.”

SHE ADDED TO ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT SITE HEYGUYS

She added to online entertainment site HeyUGuys: “I’ve got a busy year lined up.”

In a show with such a high body count like Game of Thrones, the revelation is a major spoiler for fans who may have thought that this season could be Sansa’s last.

The British star has previously teased that Sansa will “develop a taste for killing” after setting a pack of rabid dogs on her sadistic husband Ramsay Bolton (played by Iwan Rheon) in season six.

Sophie’s words hinted that Sansa could be getting the chop in season seven if she continued down the dark path.

She said: “At the end of the season [six], Sansa gets a taste of power – and it’s the first time that she’s had that ever, really.

SHE FEELS LIKE IT’S DESERVED BECAUSE SHE DID SO MUCH FOR JON

“She feels like it’s deserved because she did so much for Jon and the North, so when she saves the day and doesn’t get any recognition for it, it was like she had that first taste of power and then was immediately stripped of it.

“It will be a real adjustment for Jon to listen to her and do what she says,” she added in an interview with Vulture.

Author George R.R. Martin, who is still writing the Game of Thrones novels, has also previously suggested that Sansa was not an important character in the grand scheme of his story which means she could be fairly disposable.
