Tech Columnist Chris Smith published an article on the Deadpool 2.
Sequels rarely match up to the original movie, and that’s probably what some Deadpool fans might worry about. The first film took forever to be made, but thanks to the persistence of the men behind the project, it became the unexpected superhero blockbuster movie of 2016.
Reports then said that the writers of the original Deadpool might not be in for the Deadpool 2 ride. However, it appears that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are both still working on Deadpool 2, which is great news.
IF THE EXACT SAME PEOPLE CAME UP WITH THE FANTASTIC SCRIPT FOR DEADPOOL
According to Collider Reese, Wernick, and Ryan Reynolds are already working on the sequel. Moreover, Drew Goddard has been added to the mix as a consultant, while Reese and Wernick remain “extremely involved in the script and project.”
NEWS THAT GODDARD JOINED THE PROGRAM MAY HAVE SCARED SOME FANS
News that Goddard joined the program may have scared some fans that the writers duo from the first movie is out of the sequel. After all, Goddard knows what he’s doing. He wrote various hot movie scripts including The Martian and Cloverfield. As Collider notes, he also brought Daredevil to life on Netflix, and he worked on “doctoring” World War Z and other films in the past years.
Tim Miller, on the other hand, will not stay on for the sequel. Instead, David Leitch, who made John Wick will be at the helm of Deadpool 2.
One other reason to hope that Deadpool 2 won’t suck is that Fox isn’t apparently pressuring anyone. The studio did not announce a release date for the sequel before having a finished script, suggesting there’s no pressure in milking the Deadpool cow at the box office.
