Snapchat on Tuesday announced that users can now use Bitmoji inside the service. Back in March, reports surfaced that Snapchat purchased Bitstrips — maker of Bitmoji — for $100 million.
Today, that news is essentially confirmed and the two products will now work together.

You may remember Bitmoji — the personalized cartoon versions of your own avatar — that swept Facebook a few years ago. Since then, the company has also released a keyboard app that lets users send their own customized Bitmoji to other users in chat apps.
As we wrote at the time the acquisition was rumored to take place, the Snapchat/Bitmoji marriage made sense, considering how often Snapchat uses emoji in its service already.
How it works
To use Bitmoji in Snapchat, you’ll first need to download the Bitmoji app for iOS or Android. You’ll also need to use the latest version of Snapchat.
From within Snapchat, Go to Settings.
Click on the Bitmoji section.
This will open up a screen that will let you link your two accounts together. If you don’t already have a Bitmoji account, the Bitmoji app will let you create one by “logging in with Snapchat.”
Once your accounts are linked, you can send bitmoji in messages and place them on snaps. If you’re chatting with a friend who has also linked their Bitmoji account, you can reply with special Friendmoji stickers in chat or to their snaps
