Report: Google’s placing its own bet on mobile livestreaming with YouTube Connect

It looks like livestreaming is becoming a thing again. In the wake of Twitter’s desire to build out Periscope and Facebook’s eagerness to push Live Videos to the masses, it seems Google does not want to be left behind. According to a report from VentureBeat, which cited a source, Google has built its own livestreaming feature called YouTube Connect. Unsurprisingly, the feature works a lot like those offered by competitors: after a user logs in with their Google or Youtube account through mobile, they can begin streaming with their phones immediately.
