Take better photo with new night mode button in Instagram

Last week, Instagram finally introduced compatibility for one of its most-requested features — the option to zoom in on photographs and videos — on both Android and iOS, and now it’s rolling out another update that brings what I believe to be an even more useful feature.

TheNextWeb indicates that upon installing Version 9.2.1 of the Instagram application, users will notice a moon-shaped button appearing at the bottom of the screen when the camera detects darkness.

How does this feature work?

Once tapped, the sensor will automatically adjust its exposure to the optimum setting for capturing images and video in low light conditions.

It’s worth noting, though, that this feature will only work on Storiesand not standard uploads.

I’ve already installed the upgrade on my iPhone 6s, and am pleased to report that it works flawlessly. Selfies are coming out the clearest they’ve ever been in pitch black environments.
