ALONG WITH ITS SUMMER VARIANT, THE AWESOME GAMES DONE QUICK

Along with its summer variant, the Awesome Games Done Quick marathon has quickly become one gaming’s most exciting and unique events of the year. Far away from the drama of professional esports or the hype of conferences like E3, AGDQ puts all the focus on people sitting in front of screens and playing games faster than anyone else.

This year’s event is raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. If previous AGDQ events are any indication, that worthy cause will have around a million dollars more to go about its work of making people’s lives better with by the end of the week.

Today begins at 11:30AM EST with the official Pre-Show followed by twelve hours of speedrunning.

The schedule begins with Ape Escape 2 and finishes with Undertale. Other stand out games from the first day of the event includes The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Quake, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. There’s also a tool to easily import the event’s full schedule into your Google calendar so you can keep up with every game being streamed this week.
